Tracey Peffer Gives Back in South Bay

Tracey Peffer from American California Financial Services in Torrance, California has always given back to her community. Seven years ago, with her kids off to college, Tracey joined Las Candalistas, “a creative group of women whose sole focus is to raise money for the community in South Bay. It was the perfect next step for me.”

One of the charities that Las Candalistas supports is Community’s Child’s Healthy Bag-COVID Response program, that is delivering nutritious groceries to over 600 impoverished food insecure families with more than 1,500 children. Tracey points out a recent study about food insecure children who suffer from iron deficiencies –“Kids are starving in our own neighborhood and this program is helping.”

Las Candalistas also supports Family Promise of South Bay, helping newly homeless children and their families find affordable housing; 1736 Family Crisis Center that helps children, adults and families through crisis circumstances; and the Wyland Foundation, a clean water mobile learning experience that brings the ocean to local schools in South Bay.

Tracey knows giving back to local communities is more important than ever. “I got into the mortgage business 23 years ago…I remember Al Hermann, the president and former owner of American California Financial Services saying: ‘you never need that next deal – you just want to help people.” Tracey adds: “I want to be there for people. It’s really important because people are really struggling. Now more than ever, it’s important to reach out. “

How We’re Addressing COVID-19

The Rock Family of Companies, including Quicken Loans, announced a combined $1.2 million donation to address the ongoing impact of COVID-19 in Detroit.

Built For Zero: A Commitment To End Veteran Homelessness

Quicken Loans is committed to ending U.S. veteran homelessness. We partnered with Community Solutions on Built for Zero, an initiative that assists communities by coordinating resources, methodology and technology to reduce the number of those experiencing homelessness.

Supporting The Florida Association Of Mortgage Professionals (FAMP)

In 2019, we proudly partnered with FAMP at its annual golf tournament that benefits the Hearts and Homes for Veterans organization.

This South Florida organization’s goal is to end veteran homelessness. FAMP provides many necessities to turn a house into a home for veterans and their families. All the money raised at this golf tournament stays right in the community. Our Account Executives and their partners (some of whom are U.S. veterans) hit the greens for great drives and putts, but at every moment they were paying tribute to U.S. veterans who have given so much.
